Hope DeCuir

Sixth Grade Teacher

Hope spent her childhood reading, storytelling, and playing with the variety of insects and lizards found in her own backyard. She has fond memories of exploring the Mississippi River coastline, the bayou, and the swamps around New Orleans where she grew up. Even after moving to Idaho in middle school, her love for the variety of water-based ecosystems has yet to dwindle, and her passion to explore and immerse herself in different cultures and places has only grown. She eagerly devours books and is always ready for a recommendation - whether giving or taking. Hope currently enjoys working on her variety of writing projects, gardening, and researching how to live a more sustainable life. She graduated from The College of Idaho with a BA in Interdisciplinary Elementary Education and minors in Creative Writing and Asian Studies. She is excited to enter the Peace Valley Waldorf family.
