Haley McMurray

Human Resources and Data Manager
208-205-8818 ext. 103

From a young age, Haley has been enthralled with the beauty of the great outdoors. What began as an impetuous determination to climb the steepest mountains in Appalachia and spelunk in the deepest caverns of Kentucky caves has blossomed into a lifelong adoration of all things green and just beyond the horizon. Ever consumed by wanderlust, she has traveled extensively, living on both East and West Coasts of the United States and on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten.

Equally passionate about education, Haley holds graduate degrees from Florida State and Penn State University. While living in Gainesville, Florida in 2012, she founded Maple & Pine ELC, offering families a holistic early learning program focused on remedying "Nature-Deficit Disorder," a phrase coined by Richard Louv in his book Last Child in the Woods. Her diverse career in education includes teaching preschool through secondary students and working in myriad higher education capacities as researcher, sociology instructor, academic advisor, and disability services coordinator. She actively pursues professional training and continuing education in Waldorf and Forest School methods and is a member of the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN) and Eastern Region Association of Forest and Nature Schools (ERAFANS). Haley has also served as Safety Chair and Board Director for another charter school in Treasure Valley.

As our Human Resources and Data Manager, Haley takes immense joy in being part of the growth and success of our Peace Valley family. Her duties are wide-ranging, overseeing the employee management system, compensation and benefits, training and development, and a variety of administrative, data, and finance needs. A proud "Waldorf mama," since cultivating a Waldorf home with her children in 2011, Haley is eager to engage in community outreach and education, helping other families find a haven in Peace Valley where children can experience the fulfillment and peace that come from tuning into nature’s rhythms.
