Peace Valley is seeking a part time garden teacher to bring the Waldorf pedagogy to life through gardening classes.
The ideal candidate is a loving authority figure and creates a beautiful and joyous environment. The individual must be passionate about art- and nature-based education, and family enrichment.
The garden teacher will work with multiple classes across many grades.
Our faculty, individually and as a group, engages in ongoing professional development, study, and self-renewal, which informs and enhances the artistic, academic and social capacities necessary for bringing the content and delivery of our lessons to the children.

- Work occurs mainly outside in a garden and farm environment during all times and weather conditions of the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high.
Candidate will have a valid Idaho State Teaching Certificate or the ability to become certified by State Department of Education. The candidate must be willing to complete training and certification in Waldorf curriculum and methodology if they do not already have a certificate from a recognized Waldorf teacher training program. Our goal is that faculty will represent the best of both worlds—dual certified with Idaho State teaching credentials and Waldorf certification. Additional interests, skills, and initiative in various areas such as drawing, singing, movement, and drama are also desired.
